PENN WEDDING

When I first met with Anna-Marie to discuss photography she told me about how she never imagined herself getting married...And there we were, talking about her wedding! These two met while they were both involved in Memphis Teacher Residency (read all about this wonderful program)! I loved hearing about how the Lord placed Jonathan in her life and how he pursued her patiently over and over!

To be honest, it's pretty tough to find a place to even begin to tell you how sweet and in love these two are. Reliving their special day through these photos puts an instant smile on my face. The GIGGLES, y'all. They didn't stop all day and it was such a joy to take part in these two becoming ONE!

Their wedding day was one for the books! One of my favorites! When it was time for their first look, it POURED and continued to do so through most of the wedding party photos! Then, it finally happened! We had sunshine! Beautiful bright sunshine! Their incredible family members and friends moved EVERYTHING outside just 2 hours before the ceremony. There may have been a LOT of mud, but I never heard a single complaint. Smiles for days! These two are so very loved!

Shoutout to the awesome groom and his groomsmen who were willing to see how muddy it really was when the rain stopped! The answer: REALLY muddy.

After hiding from the rain and taking photos under awnings, the sunshine finally made an appearance!

This is the moment where I realized this reception was going to be EPIC.

It's one of the best feelings in the world as a photographer to leave a wedding, completely exhausted, but so completely happy and excited about everything you got to be a part of that day. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the Penns, their families, and their friends for a wonderful day that made me fall in love with photography all over again. As Anna-Marie reminded me, it's not about all of the details, it's about celebrating with family and friends and the promises they've made together and most importantly, to Christ.
